Little.

Butterscotch. It's really good. But even better as an ice cream flavor. If you've never been to Little Man Ice Cream, here in Denver, then you literally haven't lived. As for me, I've been there two times this week...the first was yesterday. I think, maybe, I'm on some sort of craze or something but there is nothing better than enjoying a delicious cup of ice cream on a warm summer night, while gazing upon a spectacular view of the Denver skyline. It was the perfect way to end such a great week.
Today kicked off the last week of camp for a majority of the kids where I work, and needless to say it was pretty bittersweet. Although I've still got a week's worth of work to go before we officially call PASS Camp finished, I'm really grateful for everything that this summer has done for me. For one, I've realized that working with kids is what I really want to do. I guess I had always known that there a was a future for me in teaching, but I never thought I'd ever have an opportunity that made me wake up, excited to go to work each day...and this is only a summer job. Just the other day I actually had a parent come up to me and sincerely thank me for inspiring his son. He told me that I had been brought up numerous times at the dinner table, and that his son couldn't wait to get out the door on the mornings before camp. I suppose being passionate about things can really go a long way. Even the little things...like walking into the gym and having every single person chant your name, takes me back to the days in elementary school, when I looked up to people my age. They're the ones who got me here...it's time to make them proud.
